Hello. This wiki looks interesting, but I'd like to see some more people interested before I start editing.

I'm trying to post information on TI-BASIC discussion boards and other TI-BASIC sites. Thanks for your interest. -AtionSong 22:56, 5 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Unlock main page? Edit

It would be nice if the front page was unlocked for editing...

I second that. -Kerm
We had some vandalism, so I'm locking it again. However, everything has been converted into templates, so those can be edited as opposed to the main page itself. Is this okay? It will still give users freedom to edit without the threat of major vandalism. -AtionSong 20:03, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Looks good. I have gone ahead and unprotected the Main Page of this wiki, as it should usually remain editable. I see you've changed to using templates, which is a good way to reduce vandalism. In the beginning stages, protection will probably do your wiki more harm than good. The Main Page will often be the first page a new user sees, and having it uneditable is off-putting, since it implies some sort of hierarchy among editors. New users may not even realize the site is editable if they only see a locked page, and leave without contributing. Thanks, and let me know if you need any help! It is especially important to keep the main page unlocked when the only person who can edit it hasn't appeared in a year, and hasn't done anything major in two years! --Yoshord 21:52, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

So, I found the templates used on this page, and turned them into a category, but half the page still isn't templates, meaning it wasn't fully turned into templates. Actually, that was done after AtionSong vanished, so that wasn't his fault... but the main page is still locked... --Yoshord 01:08, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
